The city is your venue – and your next culinary destination

Following a successful event in 2024, Antwerp has once again been selected as the host city for the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony Belgium & Luxembourg. This prestigious gastronomic event will take place on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the historic Handelsbeurs Antwerp.

As Belgium’s undisputed culinary capital, Antwerp is a vibrant, world-class destination for food lovers. With 21 MICHELIN Stars across 17 restaurants, Antwerp ranks just behind Tokyo, Paris, and Washington DC in MICHELIN Stars per capita – placing the city firmly on the global culinary map.

“Antwerp is a dynamic city of art, gastronomy, and culture, full of energy and hospitality,” said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide.

Renowned for its bold creativity and rich culinary diversity, Antwerp is a melting pot of cultures and flavours. The city's chefs are celebrated for their use of fresh, seasonal ingredients and an unrelenting drive to push the boundaries of modern cuisine. Whether it’s a refined tasting menu or an iconic local dish in a buzzing neighbourhood bistro, Antwerp offers experiences to satisfy every palate.

The MICHELIN Guide Ceremony will once again bring together the finest chefs, industry leaders, and international media for an unforgettable celebration of gastronomic excellence. The Handelsbeurs, one of Europe’s oldest stock exchanges, will serve as a breathtaking backdrop. With its soaring Gothic arches and central location, the venue is a fitting stage for a moment that places Antwerp at the heart of the global culinary conversation.

“In Antwerp, the city is your venue – from historic landmarks to star-studded restaurants, from contemporary art spaces to open-air markets. We are honoured that MICHELIN continues to recognise Antwerp not only as a centre of culinary excellence but as a destination that inspires chefs, delights diners, and welcomes the world,” said Tadeja Pivc Coudyser, Head of the Antwerp Convention Bureau.

For the Business Events industry, the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony represents a unique convergence of culinary prestige and professional networking. It showcases Antwerp’s strengths not only as a gastronomic destination but also as a premier location for high-end business events.

Its adaptability as a multifunctional event space also underscores the city's capacity to host world-class conferences, incentive programs, and exclusive business gatherings, reinforcing Antwerp’s appeal to MICE planners seeking memorable venues that blend heritage with innovation.

As the countdown begins to April 28, Antwerp invites food lovers, media, event organisers, corporate groups and industry professionals to experience a city where gastronomy, culture, and creativity meet, making it the ideal canvas for unforgettable MICE experiences.
