Large investment into new machinery and systems is driving ongoing improvements at Broxton as it continues to expand manufacturing capabilities, bringing a potential economic boost to Cirencester.
A Finite Capacity Scheduling system and a Trumpf Press Brake will further enhance Broxton’s abilities to meet client needs faster and with enhanced quality. These represent a significant investment from Broxton who employ more than 60 people in Cirencester.
“Our investment in this cutting edge technology helps us to give our clients the very best service possible,” comments Marcus Ellams, managing director of Broxton. “The Finite Capacity Scheduling system helps us to optimise our production plan assisting us with lead times and improve on time delivery. The new Trumpf Press Brake provides us with greater forming capacity, productivity and efficiency.
“Our ongoing investment signals a real intent to achieve the very best the industry can offer whilst our growth can only be good for Cirencester economically.”
The Trumpf Press Brake was recently installed at Broxton and as well as enhancing productivity and efficiency it has ensured low energy consumption thanks to its advanced drive technology.
The aims of the new Finite Capacity Scheduling system is to optimise the production schedule for On Time Delivery and to highlight pockets of free capacity to keep lead times to a minimum. These are important requirements when trying to meet customer expectations in a competitive market.
