Experience a tropical escape at the Barbican this summer

The Barbican is seeing unprecedented interest in its summer offering, providing delegates with the chance to celebrate and get away from it all in an urban oasis.

Stepping from city street to tropical glasshouse, guests can escape the hustle and bustle for the idyllic and exotic. The Barbican’s Conservatory is home to giant fish and more than 2,000 types of plant and trees, guaranteed to deliver a unique twist to every summer event.

The summer packages, which are the most popular the Barbican has ever released, cater for groups of between 120 and 600 using the Conservatory as the main space, with both the Garden Room and Conservatory Terrace available as extensions for a more flexible event.

The Barbican’s head of sales, Oliver Hargreaves comments: “With the Conservatory’s glass roof as well as the latest AV, the Barbican can be relied upon to deliver the perfect atmosphere for any event, no matter what the British weather throws at us.  These packages represent a real collaborative approach between us and our caterer Searcys and we look forward to welcoming a wide variety of clients over the coming months.”

The basic package offers Pimm’s on arrival; three hours of unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks; a traditional picnic-food station plus further accompaniments at just £79 + VAT per person. Extras including a DJ, canapes or even a Gin Cocktail Bar can be purchased from an extra £10 per person. Options can be tailored to fit a wide range of budgets so organisers can get ready to plan a great escape!
