Gloucester Rugby is seeing a high level of confirmations from September onwards for events. Venue car-parking, location and investment in safety and security measures are key reasons clients have chosen to switch to the stadium.
New business, which includes bookings from finance, pharmaceutical, emergency services, construction and the local authority, ranges in size but meets both government and venue policies on social distancing.
“We are seeing a significant number of confirmations from clients who see us as a safe alternative to many other venues,” comments Angela Sanders, Head of Venue Sales. “In particular, they appreciate our onsite parking – allowing delegates to avoid public transport – as well as our robust policies, thermal scans and dedication to attendee safety. The nature and layout of the stadium means we also have sufficient space to ensure the safe movement and flow of delegates during their time with us.”
Amongst other events, Gloucester Rugby is working with the local authority to arrange a substantial job fair in the Autumn. The public event will require complex ongoing logistics to maintain legal attendance levels, whilst delivering to the significant number of local individuals seeking employment.
“Our priority is attendee safety, which is why we have introduced a raft of new policies and procedures that go above and beyond the measures currently recommended by government. From arrival and departure to capacities and catering we have considered the safety of every part of our events,” concludes Angela.
