Hospitality Assured, a standard for service and business excellence in the hospitality industry, has awarded Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi with six departmental accreditations following a recent assessment. Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is the only organization in region currently accredited by Hospitality Assured.
The departments accredited include Food Services, Patient Support Services, Protective Services, Facilities Operations & Maintenance, General Services, and the Caregiver fitness facility, Layaqa.
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, part of Mubadala’s network of world-class healthcare providers, is a 364 (expandable to 490) bed medical campus. A unique and unparalleled extension of US based Cleveland Clinic’s model of care, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is specifically designed to address a range of complex and critical care requirements unique to the UAE population. It is the first ever US multispecialty hospital to be replicated outside of North America. The awards followed an in-depth accreditation process which examined the hospital’s scope of operations from a quality perspective. Organisations being assessed must meet nine requirements including strategic, organisational and delivery standards. These key areas are exemplified in the organisation’s ability to develop an engaged culture of excellence and service ideals.

Hospitality Assured is used by a wide range of organisations, including local authorities, universities, medical facilities, contract caterers, facilities management firms, tourism attractions, hotels, care homes, event venues, sports centres, members clubs and accommodation providers.
Hospitality Assured is widely used in the UK. Through a franchise agreement with the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, it is used by more than 50 tourism and hospitality businesses across the Caribbean.
