Whilst w
andering around Salisbury a couple of weeks ago we came across the sublime Howard House. Nestled in the middle of nowhere in a picturesque valley, complete with trickling stream and ancient manor house it was an absolute delight.
The rooms were pleasant and the staff very friendly. However, for me the two key selling points are the beautiful garden where we past a pleasant afternoon enjoying the sun, reading and relaxing… and the superb chef. Dinner was a wonder, nothing was too much trouble and the mixture of flavours created from local produce really was something to behold.
