Illuminate@Prospero House, the new event space from etc.venues, has become an instant success.
In just the first month, a huge range of events have taken place bringing more than 2,500 delegates through the doors.
Clients have already used and are planning to use the venue in a variety of ways including:
Parties and drinks receptions
Team away days
Christmas parties
Training
Meetings
Banquets
One client even planned a full graduate training programme around the flexibility of the venue and cutting edge technology, making use of two large suites across the whole ground floor of Prospero House.
etc.venues marketing manager, David Owen: “What a great first month! Sales have been superb, occupancy high and client feedback positive. Above all visitors have praised the location (London Bridge 5 minutes and Borough 1 minute); the decor that provides a sense of occasion; the sophisticated AV equipment and the high quality staffing levels. Expanding into event space having built our reputation in training venues has been a bold move for etc.venues – and the results have been fantastic!”
Illuminate@Prospero House was opened on 4th September, 2009 following a £600k investment and refurbishment of a former post office . The opening event was attended by more than 450 people from the events industry, all keen to see what was on offer.
Illuminate @ Prospero House has taken etc.venues into a wider market as the size of the room, technical capabilities and layout allow for product launches, dinner events, parties, awards ceremonies and conferences requiring space for larger sets. Whilst the venue is linked to Prospero House next door, providing greater flexibility and an extensive range of breakout spaces, Illuminate also has a separate entrance and registration area. Up to 20% of the overall budget was focused on the provision of hi-tech AV equipment – even linking the rooms in Prospero House to Illuminate with sound and video.
