Ireland celebrates first MPI event to coincide with National Meetings Week

Members of the MPI International Board of Directors will be in attendance, highlighting the event’s importance.

The MPI UK and Ireland Chapter will hold its first event at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin Ireland on Thursday 21 October, 2010.  The event will be a discussion forum, debating issues and answering questions selected by the attendees.

MPI UK and Ireland president, Fiona Pelham:  “Keeping up to date with international trends and good practices has never been more important for the industry.  An opportunity to ask questions and exchange views with industry leaders representing Hoteliers, PCOs, DMCs, Corporate Planners, Technologists and Educationalists is an opportunity not to be missed.”

“The event has been scheduled in National Meeting’s Week to highlight the importance of the issues under discussion as well as our desire to grow Ireland as a key part of this MPI Chapter.

The evening will be split into two parts during which the attendees will have the opportunity to meet the high profile industry representatives as well as influence future MPI events organised in Ireland.

The event will start with a Moderated Roundtable – discussing issues and questions selected from those submitted in advance to the moderator, Paul Cunningham. Participants will also be able to address follow up questions during an Open Q&A.

The second part of the evening will allow attendees to meet in smaller groups with their peers from the IBOD in break out sessions, where the discussion will focus on specific issues affecting Hoteliers, PCOs, Corporate Planners, Teachers and Students etc.

Fiona Pelham will also announce a membership offer to prospective new MPI Members on the night.
