One of the most prestigious and historic hotels in Kyoto, The Westin Miyako, is offering 120 yen (approximately $1.5 / £1) overnight accommodation offer to potential visitors.
The Westin Miyako is offering the deal in conjunction with its 120th anniversary celebrations as one of the first and longest serving western style hotels in Kyoto. The offer will continue for 120 nights.
Yoko Nakashima, Acting Director of Room Sales at the Westin Miyako said: “We are proud and honoured to have served visitors and the Kyoto community for more than a century. The hotel’s illustrious history has witnessed many pioneering events such as the first international conference to be held in Kyoto, the Pan-Pacific Conference of 1929 and boasts the largest ballroom event space among hotels in the city.”
With spectacular views of the ancient imperial capital of Japan the hotel has played a key role as a social centre in the community since its opening and is an integral part of the city. Surrounded by the green
Higashiyama mountains and located right next to the subway station within walking distance of the city guests can relax, use all the hotel’s facilities, and take time to explore the local area which is famous for its numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
James Kent of the Kyoto Convention Bureau added: “What a great way for Westin to celebrate their 120th anniversary. As the imperial capital from 794 A.D. to 1868 A.D. Kyoto has set the standard for accommodating travellers and visitors from all over the world. Kyoto is Japan’s leading international city when it comes to meetings and conferences. Indeed the Convention Bureau regularly uses and recommends The Westin Miyako when the city hosts high-profile international meetings and events.”
The Daily 120 Yen Offer: All guests are automatically entered into a draw for this special price when they check in at the hotel. The package, which is for a room rather than an individual, includes breakfast.
