Leading management training and conference centre, Lane End Conference Centre is celebrating its 40th birthday this year. The venue, which was one of the UK’s first dedicated management training centres plans to celebrate in style, with a showcase event and party on 10th September, 2009.
The event, which will be by invitation only to corporate clients, agency bookers, trainers and the press, will demonstrate the fact that the Centre has continued to evolve during its 40 year history , maintaining its position as a cutting edge venue for a whole range of events.
Lane End Conference Centre’s, sales and marketing manager, Heni Fourie : “The concept for a dedicated training and conference centre was developed in the late sixties to accommodate the increasing demand for specialised facilities to host high profile conferences and specialised training programmes. Lane End Conference Centre was designed with those objectives in mind and ultimately to provide a dedicated space which is conducive to learning and development.”
“Dedication to commercial business has continued throughout our 40 year history, satisfying thousands of customers and their delegates. However, after 40 years of serious, successful business we thought it was time to relax and throw a party !”
Lane End Conference Centre was built in 1969 on a site previously occupied by a girls’ boarding school. The 26 acres of parkland includes a par 3 golf course, tennis courts and open areas for teambuilding. The Centre is based around five self contained buildings, each with its own set of meeting rooms and some with a private dining room, lounge, bar and dedicated bedrooms, ensuring maximum privacy for numbers ranging from 2 to 180. All meeting rooms have natural daylight , a feature which will be increased during the next round of refurbishments. There are 104 study bedrooms onsite as well as leisure and bar facilities for residential events.
