LCS doubles number of delegates for 2011 experiential weekend for agency planners

By responding to delegate requests and shifting the date of this popular event to July rather than September, the London City Selection has more than double attendee numbers for its annual experiential weekend.

Samme Allen, LCS chair and Barbican business development manager: “Our experiential weekend has proved incredibly popular with agency planners over the last few years.  It offers a chance to see the City’s venues in a very different light to a normal fam trip.  Above all they have an opportunity to experience the destination as actual event attendees do.”

London City Selection has announced the final details of their latest an experiential weekend due to take place in July 2011 from 15th to 17th.

The event, entitled ‘Twist of Fete’ will once again bring a host of agency buyers to the City of London to experience everything these fantastic venues have to offer, experiencing the city as a complete destination.

The traditional fete theme will include:

  1. Friday evening:  A barbeque at the Brewery, allowing the attendees to meet the teams, network and find out the details for the rest of the weekend, including the competition plan.

  2. Saturday daytime:  The competition starts – details remain top secret, with each venue creating challenges that allow the planners to experience the venues as only an event delegate can.

  3. Saturday evening:  Head off to Trinity House for prize giving and a party with a twist.

  4. During all the above events, the attendees will have a variety of opportunities to see the venues hosting the weekend, demonstrating the City of London’s high quality event offering.

Samme continues: “This event will be a fantastic occasion for us as we celebrate the growth of the organisation and the success of the past. The London City Selection has grown in strength from 16 to 24 members during our first year. It has been a great experience and example of businesses joining hands during tough economic times to create a win-win situation for everyone.  We have and continue to collectively boost the image of London as an important destination for world class events.”

As the space for the annual experiential  weekend is limited, guests have been kindly requested to register their interest by emailing: info@londoncityslection.co.uk
