LSO St Luke’s, one of London’s most impressive and stylish event venues, has seen a huge jump in occupancy levels in their 2010/2011 financial year, which ended on 31st July. Alongside improvements in the market, the venue attributes its success to new investments and developments in its sales and marketing strategy.
Occupancy levels at LSO St Luke’s rose from just over 78% last year to 85% this year. For a venue whose primary business is not conferences and events but music and education this is particularly positive news in these challenging financial times.
LSO St Luke’s Sales and Events Manager, Victoria Steinitz said: “We have had an amazing year; selling the space on almost all of our available dates – something that is a real challenge as the rehearsal and education schedules often impacts on our most popular dates. We believe the reasons for our success include membership of the Unique Venues London and London City Selection groups, as well as the use of a PR agency, which we started in April this year
. We have also expanded the venue’s capacity to meet the growing requirements of our clients, ensuring their business is retained.”
LSO St Luke’s plays host to a diverse selection of concerts and music workshops alongside London Symphony Orchestra rehearsals. This stylish and sophisticated venue is also available to hire for filming, recordings and chamber music performances as well as a wide variety of corporate and private events.
