Celtic Manor Resort will be returning to The Meetings Show in 2015 after generating more than £1.9million of new enquiries whilst exhibiting in 2014.
Celtic Manor Resort chose The Meetings Show to announce the launch of the Wales International Convention Centre, which is due to open in 2018 in the grounds of the resort. The launch, which took place on the Wednesday afternoon of the 2014 show, generated international mainstream media coverage as the new venue will have a significant positive economic impact on the region.
“We achieved great success at The Meetings Show and it provided a great return on investment, so for that reason we will be back in 2015,” commented Vanessa Russell, marketing director for the Celtic Manor Resort. “We had more than 53 pre-scheduled appointments plus numerous walk-ons and achieved more than £1.9million of new enquiries as a result. The Meetings Show was an excellent opportunity to interact with key buyers and is now firmly established as the leading trade show for the meetings industry in the UK. The show also provided us with the perfect opportunity to showcase and discuss our plans for the Wales International Convention Centre with its key target audience.”
The five-star Celtic Manor Resort is based within more than 2,000 acres of panoramic parkland at the gateway to Wales. With two luxury hotels and vast experience for both business and leisure guests, Celtic Manor Resort has been the recipient of a plethora of awards over the years.
The Meetings Show’s event director Steve Knight comments: “The news that Celtic Manor Resort will be returning to The Meetings Show 2015 is a great testament to the value we provide to our exhibitors. The business they generated by participating in the 2014 show proves the success that can be achieved. They are one of the UK’s largest and most successful venues and the creation of the ICC will see them further strengthen their offering whilst providing Wales greater opportunity to host major events including more association conferences. We look forward to welcoming them back in 2015.”
