New faces at Church House Conference Centre

Westminster venue strengthens team with additions to event and AV teams. Church House Conference Centre has welcomed two new faces to its team.  Sian Rodgers has joined the team as Events Administrator, following the promotion of Leah Forbes to the position of Events Co-ordinator, and Javier Luna Romero has joined the Audio Visual department.

A graduate from the University of Nottingham, Sian worked in retail for four and a half years as an assistant merchandiser for Tesco, the Arcadia Group and Debenhams. Before taking the position at Church House, Sian spent eight months as an intern at Fortnum and Mason, Oxfam and Liberty whilst she looked to move into an events industry role.

Javier joined the venue’s in-house AV team in March. Before taking up the position, Javier completed a BA in Music with Sound Engineering at Pontifical Xavierian University and an MA in Audio Production from the University of Westminster. He was the winner of the Latin American Recording Competition AES, Surround Category in Brazil in 2009. Javier has gained a large amount of experience through working as a freelancer both during and after his studies.

Robin Parker, Church House Conference Centre General Manager, comments: “These latest appointments reflect our on-going investment and business growth at Church House. As the venue grows in popularity we felt we needed to strengthen our team in key areas in order to continue offering clients a first class service. Both Sian and Javier have the skills we are looking for and we are delighted they have joined our dedicated team of staff.”
