Positive Impact avoids greenwashing

Earlier in the month I was asked to speak at today’s Positive Impact event taking place at London ‘s Barbican.  As part of their ongoing educational series the half day course was centred on marketing and in my case ways to avoid greenwashing.

The focus of my session was mostly the six sins of greenwashing , although I did use a few examples to highlight best (and worst) practice.

In particular I discussed Nexus Collections superb range of environmentally friendly conference bags and the range of initiatives their management  team has undertaken to ensure there is absolutely no sign of greenwashing.

As for those six sins…

  1. The sin  of the hidden trade off

  2. The sin of no proof

  3. The sin of vagueness

  4. The sin if irrelevance

  5. The sin of fibbing

  6. The sin of the lesser of two evils

Watch this space for more info on greenwashing – including tips to avoid it!
