Attending industry events should be the norm for marketing and PR companies looking to stay at the forefront of their business and of course for the benefit of their clients.
Our very own Sarah Carless attended the Meetings Professionals International (MPI) United Kingdom & Ireland chapter’s Economic Outlook event last week, which was sponsored by our client the Barbican, and it was a worthwhile experience with plenty of information and knowledge shared amongst professionals. Looking at the economic outlook, opportunities and threats and the latest technological trends, the entire event was a must attend for meeting industry professionals.
MPI’s sole aim is to bring together industry professionals to achieve tangible results and the wealth of knowledge on offer from the event ensured we came away with ideas on how we could use it to benefit the work we do for our clients.
But the MPI Economic Outlook event is not the only industry related event we attended last week – we were also present at the ABPCO AGM at etc.venues Monument too.
The event brought together many familiar faces from the industry and a real highlight was the Right Honourable Nick de Bois discussing how the industry can join together to have a bigger voice and how to develop the character of the industry to ensure it stands out as one of the best in the world.
Events such as these bring together the very best in the meetings and events industry so we are able to remain on top of the latest movements, which has served us so well in the past and present. Meeting people, engaging in conversation and taking a real interest in the industry as a whole, rather than just your own business, should not be overlooked because it can have a real impact on what influence you hold.
