The Meetings Show welcomes status as UK’s only ICCA Supported Show

The Meetings Show has become the only UK based trade show in the meetings and events industry to achieve ICCA Supported Show status.

This recognition by the leader in the international association meetings sector cements The Meetings Show’s position as the UK’s leading international gathering of meetings industry professionals.

This year’s show was 20% bigger than 2013 and welcomed 3,097 unique visitors to the event including 721 hosted buyers and 2,376 trade visitors. Including exhibitors, 4,545 meetings industry professionals attended the show.

Steve Knight, Event Director of The Meetings Show, comments: “To be granted ICCA Supported Show status is recognition that The Meetings Show is the must attend event for industry professionals in the UK. It is proof that exhibitors value the hosted buyer model and are able to meet with senior decision makers who have the authority to place business. Visitors also benefit from meeting with a wide range of international organisations whilst benefitting from our comprehensive education programme. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with ICCA and providing even more content that is relevant to its members.”

ICCA supported shows are major meetings industry events which contain a strong international dimension, and with whom ICCA has set up a multi-year collaborative agreement to enable its members to get the best out of exhibiting at or visiting them.

ICCA CEO Martin Sirk comments: “The UK’s meetings market is one of the most important sources of outbound international association meetings. The Meetings Show provides a powerful channel for ICCA members into this market. We’re delighted to extend our relationship and to help create an even stronger association buyer programme, and to ensure that exhibiting ICCA members are able to extract even more value from attending.”

Organised by Centaur Exhibitions, The Meetings Show is a major event for the UK inbound and outbound meetings industry, taking place 7-9 July 2015 at Olympia, London. Organised by meeting professionals for meeting professionals it is focused around a large exhibition, networking opportunities and professional education.
